Topstreetwear.com goes live as a Swedish web shop after several years of ordinary store operations. With a smaller range of exclusive hip hop clothing the shop became a huge success that spread like wildfire among young people all around the country. The popularity grew all the way to the US and into the music business when Busta Rhymes showed off our in-house brand YLD in the music video ”I Got Bass”. We followed up with a huge campaign together with Live Nation and Jay-Z. The success in Sweden made way for expansion to Norway in the west, which we did in the end of 2008.
With big plans for 2009 we kept on with 2008 receipt for success. Our warehouse got larger and our range of products wider, but still chosen with knowledge and care. We prioritized marketing and were on the radio and TV constantly. We took aim at Finland and launched a number of big campaigns in our neighbouring country. Throughout the year we sponsored big artist like Flo-Rida, Fat Joe and even comedy superstar Pablo Francisco. Xzibit was dressed in our in-house brand YLD on his Scandinavian tour and we sponsored the MTV shows ”The Money and the Power” and ”Dogg after Dark” hosted by 50 Cent and Snoop Dogg.
In only a few years Topstreetwear.com grew to one of Scandinavia's biggest streetwear web shops. The range of products is huge and we supply over 100 different brands. With the web shop constantly growing the list of artists we have worked with has done the same. Wu-tang, Method Man, Pitbull, Lil' Jon and comedian Jason Rouse are some of them we collaborated with during 2010.
At the end of the year our web shop became part of a new corporate group and a new company structure but still with the same team that were involved from the start, with a few additions of course.
We have kept on growing and this year is our year! With a new idea and concept we continue to expand. First in line is our neighbour Denmark. Focus will remain on delivering the right products that we know you want and at the same time introducing the new stuff that eventually become your new favorites. We have updated and improved our webshop for a more complete, secure and exiting shopping experience that our customers deserve!
